The Emerald Sea is a splendid lagoon located at the entrance to Diego Suarez Bay, in the far north of Madagascar. Its shallow, crystal clear waters, with turquoise hues, are bordered by white sand beaches, providing an idyllic setting for a day of exploration and relaxation.
Typical course of the excursion
Departure: The excursion usually starts in the morning from the village of Ramena. Departure by boat depends on the tides, so it is essential to find out about times in advance.
Crossing: Aboard a traditional canoe or fishing boat, you will sail on calm waters, admiring the emerald shades of the lagoon. The crossing offers breathtaking panoramas of the bay and its surroundings.
Return: Depending on weather conditions and tides, the return to Ramena is planned for late afternoon.
